Santa's visit & snow

I don't think people blog as much anymore, but here's to those few people that will see this! Life has been good, Mea is such a joy! It is so fun to watch her learn and grow everyday. As you can see we went to our ward christmas party and santa was there....she was soooo excited until she got put on his lap! The whole time while we were getting ready she would say "Santa...Ho Ho". So cute, but it didn't turn out how we wanted it to. I still love the pic! She is OBSESSED with Dora and Toy Story2. I love it! She has prob seen toy story2 100 times....she knows what part is coming up right before it shows it, it's hilarious. Jason and I have been good as always :) He's enjoying his new job at Fidelity. WOW......it's been awhile!

So do people still blog and I'm the only one that doesn't anymore?? I dunno why it has taken me so long, I put most of my pics on facebook now so i figured there's no point. Anyways-Mea is almost 14 months, I can't believe it! She is so fun and loves when Jason gets home from work! They play on the floor together all night! Jason is working at Wells Fargo and liking it. I'm home all day with Mea, so let me know if you ever wanna go do something fun! We have been going to the park since the weather has been nice. We're planning on going to a petting zoo on saturday so Jason can come! Mea can tell you what a dog, cat, sheep, horse, cow, frog, monkey, bird, and a bear can say! It's so cute. Also every time the train goes by our house and shakes everything and blows it's horn she says choo choo! She is getting her molars so she's been a little cranky and up a lot through the night, other than that she's a good girl!

We had our Halloween party last night and it was sooo fun like always! The costumes were so funny and very creative. Jason and I were Mr. & Mrs. Pac Man and Mea was blinky. Tonight Mea is going to be a pea in a pod, so hopefully Jason will want to go trick or treating!!

We have been having so much fun with our little girl lately. She is started to have more personality and enjoys playing with daddy more. She is all over the place crawling and pulls herself up to stand like its no big deal! You can tell she wants to walk so bad already at 7 months. She is so funny and is a joy to have around. We are moving to Salt Lake in a few days and we're stoked! We are excited to finally move out of Cedar, but sad at the same time. We've had lots of great memories there, including the first day we met, but we are excited to move forward and move away. I'm sad we will be far away from my family, but they will have to visit me often!! Jason is going to be working for Wells Fargo, we are glad that something finally came through after literally 5 months of applying for jobs and getting shut down. We are going to the pumpkin patch this weekend, I told Jason that is a must because she will look so cute with her hair matching the pumpkins! Can't wait to post pics from that!

Sorry about the naked pics, but we had to share them! She loves playing on the grass at night bare bum, wouldn't you if you had a diaper on all day?! Jason and I were laughing so hard when she was making all these poses! It was the cutest thing ever! She makes us laugh and smile every day. She is 6 1/2 month old and growing so fast. Meali'i is 5 months old now and Jason and I are loving every second of being a parent! She makes us laugh everyday with the cute things she's learning to do. We started giving her baby food about a week ago and she loves it! It's so cute to see how they eat because they're so used to sucking. Things she loves......her blankie, tubby time, being in the pool, dinner time, being in the car, watching sponge bob with her dad (we only let her for a couple minutes and yes Jason likes sponge bob, I'm still trying to figured out why!) We are having so much fun and couldn't imagine life without this little one!

We had a great time going on vacation to Cali with my family. We go every year and rent the same beach house each time. We usually go for a week, but we got to go for a week and a half this year. It was sooo fun! We thought it would be too long, but it was perfect. Jason and I brought his niece Moana with us and she had a blast playing with all the kids. She was a little hesitant on the rides at Disneyland, but she wanted to go again after every one. It was fun to have Meali'i there with us, but it was hard when I wanted to lay out! Maybe next year I can get more sun! We always do family pics there on the beach so here they are!

Since I am a bad mom and never got newborn pictures of Meali'i, my mom and I decided to do our own photo shoot. So we made her a tutu and got some sexy pink boa to wrap around her. haha. We now understand why some photographers are priced so high! It was not easy, but it was a lot of fun. We bought a grass skirt for her to do some pictures in also, but she was too tired, so we'll have to save that outfit for the next pictures! Hope you like them!

Meali'i was so good on her blessing day. We were glad that she wasn't screaming during the blessing. That would have been horrible! We had fun seeing everyone and hanging out for the weekend! Meali'i is 7 wks today. She is getting big and chunky so fast. She smiles all day and loves when I give her to Jason! She concentrates so hard on his face, it's so cute! She's almost cooing. We can't wait for that!

Here are a few pics from the last 3 wks. I can't believe she will be a month old on Monday! It's going by fast and we are having a blast! I forgot to say how big she was when she was born. She was 7 lbs 2 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. She is definately bigger than that now! She is eating all day long and is getting the cutest double chin! ha

Well, she is finally here! I started having little cramps Sunday morning, but didn't really think anything of it. We went to church and they started getting much stronger. We decided to go to the hospital that night at 1:00 a.m. I got an epidural at 3:45 a.m., the greatest thing ever!! Things were progressing for the first few hours, but slowly. So they gave me pitocin at about 8:00 a.m. and that definately worked! I went from dilated to a 4 to a 9 in an hour. I started pushing at 9:30 and she was born at 11:21!!! As for her hair, we were just as shocked as you guys probably are. It is totally red, but it makes sense coming from Jason's family. She totally looks like Jason to me and I don't see any of my family in her so she's already a daddy's girl! We are so excited and know it will be a lot of work, but worth it! The #1 question....name!?!?! Well, we decided to go with Meali'i Ella A'alona. I will put more pictures up soon!

Last Saturday my aunt and cousins threw my baby shower for me. I couldn't have asked for a better shower. The cutest part was everyone that came decorated onesies for me. It was in Vegas and I was 37 wks prego. We thought it was a success because my water didn't break or anything crazy! I am down to 12 days and Jason and I are soooo excited, we can't wait any longer! Jason is a little upset because this week is spring break and we are stuck in Cedar City because it's too close to my due date; however, we will try and make the best of it! For all you girls, I am dilated to a 2, 80% effaced, and she has dropped and in position! Doc doesn't think I'll go past my due date and he thinks it should be an easy delivery. Hopefully he is correct! P.S. The first pic is just a random one we threw in there :)

These are random pictures, but what the heck! Everything has been going well with us. Jason is doing good in school, getting anxious to be done and nervous to find a job, but we are trying to stay positive. We started birthing classes a couple weeks ago and we are loving it. They seem very helpful and believe it or not Jason enjoys them too. Actually this week I'm going to be out of town so I definately wasn't planning on Jason going by himself, but suprisingly he said to me the other day, "I think I need to be there"! He's so funny, but he is learning so much and doesn't want to miss anything. What a great and dedicated daddy already! Sorry about my boring belly pictures, but I always said I would keep posting them until I get lovely stretch marks! Sorry all you men, but it happens! But luckily I haven't gotten them....yet....hopefully...thanks to Jason and cocoa butter literally 2-3 times a day! I never really believed in it, but you never know!

Ok ok....I'm sorry for taking sooooo long to put up a new belly pic. Here's what happened. I lost my cord for my camera to put into the computer so I have to do my blog when I'm in Vegas and use my parents camera. I'll try not to go that long again! We had a great Thanksgiving with my family at the cabin. Jason and I had Jason's neice Moana (20 months) during Thanksgiving for 3 weeks and it was so fun! It got me ready for my own child, except I just hope ours is as easy as Moana is! I have been feeling great still and my tummy is getting bigger and bigger everyday!! I am excited that I hit double digits today and only have 99 days left until my due date!! Hope you all have a good and safe holiday and we will see some of you in Salt Lake soon!

Pretty interesting 3-D view...she's smooshed!

We found out on friday and I wasn't in much shock. Isn't it so weird how some people just KNOW what they're having?! Pretty crazy. Well that night Jason and I went to St. George with my mom to celebrate. We went shopping for our little girl! Although I have been buying baby clothes for about 6 years now, which I highly recommend so you get a head start, it was more fun to shop and know what I'm having. As for how I'm feeling, I feel great! I have been running 1 1/2 miles, 4-5 days a week. I'm trying to eat and stay healthy because I know it's not easy to loose the weight after the baby is here! P.S. she kicks and moves all the time!

Belly Update!

It was time to take a new pic of the belly! It seems like in the last couple days it has gotten bigger. My mom took me maternity shopping today and that wasn't as fun as I thought it would be. Are the jeans for real!? They go up to about my chest, the bottoms come to my ankles and the crotch to my knees! Someone seriously needs to start a CUTE maternity line for tall people like me. Luckily I found a couple cute pairs so I can start wearing them. I think today was the day I had to face reality and put away my old jeans for awhile so I don't keep strangling the baby!

So my mom keeps telling me to take pictures of my belly every couple weeks to see how much it is growing. I kept telling her no, but then I decided it would be kinda fun to see it grow. So Jason is going to take pics of the belly every so often. We'll try to keep you updated! I am 3 1/2 months pregnant and we're hoping we get to find out the sex in a couple weeks!

Rhett's 30th Suprise Birthday!

Ashleigh planned a suprise party for Rhett since he was turning 30. It was at the Monte Carlo and it was definately a success. She told him they were going to Lance Burton and instead he got to be suprised and hang out with friends and family. It was good to be with everyone and we all had fun!
